Lyman - 1967 26' Lyman Cruisette

The Lyman Cruisette was restored roughly ten years ago and had a fresh water cooled Marine Power 350 plus a Vetus bow thruster. The boat had all the varnish refinished three years ago and hull painted two years ago. This is undoutably a turn key boat ready to go.

The Lyman is also currently for sale. For any inquiries please contact George Hazzard at 410-928-5500 or

Considered by Tom Koroknay, noted author and Lyman Boat Historian, as “Lyman’s best effort”, this fuel miserly, single-screw, V-8 powered wooden Lyman Cruisette is highly valued by many wooden boat enthusiasts.

The Cruisette’s design featured both a small galley and a 4-person dinette in its cockpit as well as additional seating for friends and the skipper at a great helm station.

Incorporating Lyman’s traditional sweet-running hull shape below the waterline, she features the Anthony Giovagnoli naval architecture of more roomy and modern styling above it. When you compare it to pre-1960 Lyman’s, look at the bow flare, raked stem, and the wider, flaring outward transom of this newer design.

The lapstrakes use 3M 5200 for a far more durable antique wood boat with less sealing issues and a tighter wooden structure in the water, at dockside or on a cruise.

The 26’ uses thicker planking than a smaller Lyman and this boat model also features the newer windshield design.
